Real Discount Rate: 30.2% — of the 832 machines advertised on sale, that share is genuinely 30% or more below the crossed-out price with no other shop charging less.

Month by month
Each finished month is re-read from our own log of every price change: the price each shop was asking, and whether it declared stock, on the last reading before the month ended. The current month is today's reading.

Past months are priced on today's list of machines: a model that has since left every catalogue is missing from them. The Real Discount Rate has no month-by-month column yet, because it compares shops against each other at one instant and our log keeps prices, not verdicts.
What goes into it
- Complete machines only. An electric skateboard, scooter, bike or unicycle you can ride away — not a deck, a battery, a motor or a wheel kit. The same filter decides every price study on this site, and it errs on the side of leaving a real machine out rather than letting a part in.
- In stock. The price is the lowest one a shop is asking while declaring the machine available. A sold-out listing is not a price anyone can pay.
- The median, not the average. One US$9,000 machine moves an average by hundreds of dollars; it moves the median by one place.
- Real Discount Rate. Of the machines where a shop shows a crossed-out price (at least 3% and US$1 off — below that nothing is being claimed), the share that is 30% or more below that crossed-out price and that no other shop sells for less. Today: 251 real, 558 under 30%, 23 undercut by another shop's ordinary price.
What it does not say
- It does not rank anything. No machine is better for sitting near the median.
- It is not a cost of ownership. Shipping, tax and duties are not in any price we read, and we do not estimate them.
- It is not a world price. It is what shops asking in US dollars ask. The other markets are on prices by country, each in its own currency.

Every figure on this page is published under CC BY 4.0: reuse it, quote it, build on it.
