Sole

Cupsole - Durable and shock-absorbing to provide the best impact protection against hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than a vulcanized sole but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.

Details

Original Waffle Outsole - Made with soles twice as thick so they would wear longer, this original formula combines durability with flexy board-feel to keep all the Vans' fans happy.

UltimateWaffle Construction - A combination of superior grip, built-in impact cushioning and uncompromising support and flex. The full-length molded midsole and internal shank offer a unique construction you have to feel to believe.

LuxLiner Bootie Construction - This advanced liner construction improves the comfort and fit by enabling the shoe to conform and move with the shape of the foot. This free-floating liner is an extension of the tongue. It's hidden under the front surface of the shoe and is able to move independently from the outer shell.

This system increases airflow, breathability and reduces any chance of hot spots or pinching in the toe box.

Duracap - Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.

RapidWeld - This progressive upper panel construction replaces the need for conventional stitching. This process utilizes a thin film between panels that bonds them together when pressed and heated.

This creates an extremely strong bond between the panels which is more durable, lighterweight, and more flexible than conventional stitching.
